Working principle of turbocharger

The turbocharger uses the exhaust gas from the engine as the power to drive the turbine in the turbine chamber (located in the exhaust duct). The turbine drives the coaxial impeller in the inlet duct, which compresses the fresh air in the intake duct, and then sends the pressurized air into the cylinder.
The biggest advantage of turbocharged engine is that it can greatly improve the power and torque of the engine without increasing the engine displacement. The engine power can be increased by about 40% or more.
Note: When the engine with turbocharger is running at idle speed after starting, it is not allowed to operate with large throttle at once. The operation of the fuel filler door can only be carried out after the oil pressure in the turbocharger is established.news

Disassembly steps of turbocharger:
1. Lift the vehicle, remove the lower engine guard and drain the coolant.
2. Loosen the air guide hose clamp indicated by the arrow in Figure 2, pull off the air guide pipe and turn it aside.
3. Screw out the fixing bolts of the front muffler, loosen the bolt connection shown by the arrow in Figure 3, push the jacket back, lower the front muffler slightly and stagger it, and then fix it with a tie and exhaust pipe. o
4. Unscrew the nut 2 from the vehicle, and do not unscrew the nut 1 in this step.
5. Screw out the fixing bolt 1 of the oil return pipe, loosen the fastening bolt 2 of the bracket by two turns, and do not remove it.
Note: Steps ① to ⑤ are carried out with the vehicle lifted.
6. Lower the vehicle, remove the engine cover, disconnect the negative connecting wire of the battery, and remove the air cleaner housing.
7. Take out and disconnect the connector of oxygen sensor 2 from the bracket.
